How do I find the perfect sized frame?

If you are currently wearing glasses, measure your frame to get the dimensions that fit you the best. With these measurements, you can easily compare them to the frames on our website. Please see the photos and below for guidance on frame measurements (a 2-3mm difference is acceptable).

Use a metric ruler with millimeters markings, the universal unit of measurement set by worldwide frame manufacturers and opticians.

Step 1 – Measuring Frame Width:

First, lay the glasses on a flat surface with the lenses facing up. Then, align the starting end of the ruler (fron the first number or line), with the one side of the frame at the outer edge, then measure the distance to the outer edge at the other side of the frame. Be sure to include any hinges or decorative accents.

Strp 2 – Measuring Lens Width

Lay the glasses on a flat surface with the lenses facing up. Measure the horizontal distance across one lens from the outer edge to the other outer edge. Make sure to measure only the lens and not the frame.

Step 4 – Measuring Lens Height:

Lay the glasses on a flat surface with the lenses facing up. Measure the vertical distance of one lens from the top to the bottom edge. Make sure to measure only the lens and not the frame.

Step 3 – Measuring Arm (temple) Length:

It is necessary to measure the total length of the arm. First, hold the glasses in one hand and extend one temple arm away from the frame. Second, place the end of the ruler or tape measure at the center of the hinge where the temple arm attaches to the frame. Then measure to the bend and then add the length of the drop for the total temple length.

Step 5 – Measuring Nose Bridge Width:

Place the glasses on your face and adjust them so they sit comfortably in the correct position. Use the ruler or tape measure to measure the distance between the inner edges of the two lenses, where they sit on the bridge of your nose.

NB. Providing the correct measurements for the frame will ensure your new eyeglasses fit comfortably.
